Our preschool is charity funded and we are constantly looking for new ways to raise money to provide new and improved equipment and opportunities for the children.
Over the last few months we have had 2 very successful fundraising events and we’d like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your continued support. A special thanks to those who helped at the events.
The Great Woodmancote Easter Egg Hunt
On Saturday 8th of April we held our first (and hopefully not last!) ‘Great Woodmancote Easter Egg Hunt’. We were very lucky with the weather and the sun shone brightly for the occasion.
The hunt was set up around the playing field and families had a great time following the clues. It was brilliant to see families out together in the sunshine enjoying the use of our beautiful playing field.
Refreshments were available in the village hall and the atmosphere was great. The event was a huge success and we hope that it will become an annual occasion in the village calendar.
May Day in Woodmancote
Another great fundraiser for us is the May Day fair. Luckily the weather was much better this year than last and the field was buzzing with lively throngs of people. Preschool had a stall with a ‘wheel of fortune’, a teddy tombola, sweetie jars and some truly delicious homemade chilli jam (I can vouch for that!). We made a good profit for the preschool and this will go towards new and improved equipment and activities for the local children.
