Our Easter Egg Hunt has become a popular annual event. This year is our 50th Birthday – quite a special milestone. We are now looking after the children of those original children. “How to celebrate such an achievement”, we asked ourselves. The decision was made to make the Egg Hunt a special Golden Easter Egg Trail. Our fabulous outdoor space could be put to good use. Clues were devised, extra special refreshments made and the main prize was a Golden Easter Hamper. We loved seeing the field busy with families looking for clues. We were busy in the hall, there was a bouncy castle to add to the enjoyment. Preschool has seen many changes, including its name from Woodmancote Playgroup to Woodmancote Preschool in the early noughties. Going to Playgroup was an optional extra when we started but now all 3 and 4 year olds are funded for 570 hours a year and for many families we are an essential part of life. What changes will we see over the next 50 years?
