What we offer

Woodmancote Preschool has been providing childcare and teaching local children in Woodmancote, Bishops Cleeve and surrounding area for over 50 years. We are very proud to have been at the heart of this community for so long! We now look after the children and even grandchildren of those original children.

Preschool is Community Interest Company which is a not for profit organisation and firmly believe that all children should be able to access high quality early years education, regardless of family income. There is no charge for extras, with the exception of a mid morning snack if required. Funding can be used for all hours at Woodmancote Preschool.

Children can attend Preschool from their 2nd birthday. We are based in Woodmancote Village hall which is situated next to a large playing field with access to the park. Come rain or shine, we make full use of our outdoor environment.

Have a look at our sessions page to find out more about how we run.

We also offer forest school to children attending our Tuesday sessions and Monday’s are known as Monday Monday as we do go out to our Forest School area.

Woodmancote Preschool is staffed by an enthusiastic and dedicated team of  an Early Years Teacher and Practitioners.  Early Years is one of the most important times in a child’s educational journey. and accessing a good quality Early Years setting leads to improved results later on. All our staff have many years experience in Early Years and are able to use the specialist knowledge they have gained to support children to be the best they can be.

The team consists of the managing directors, who both work with the children and previously 2 two early years educators. From September 2023 our team is increasing by 2 members of staff. All of whom have had experience in bringing up their own children and all have Early Years qualifications. More information on our staff page.

We aim to give them the best start in their early education so they leave us ready to start their school journey.  We encourage them  to become independent, excited and motivated to learn more. Transition to school is a big step in any young child’s life and we support children and parents to help make this a positive experience for all.

If you have any questions or require further information then please don’t hesitate to get in touch or pop in during one of our sessions when we shall be happy to see you.
