And so an end to another busy Preschool year – our 50th year might I add! The last year has gone very quick and we were all very sad to say goodbye to this years leavers. We wish all our little ones the best of luck in their new schools.
We had a very busy summer term with various events including our annual sports day on the field. A lovely morning with glorious weather where the children took part in running races, egg and spoon races, hobby horse races and my personal favourite, the mini assault course! It took a few goes before the children realised they didn’t all need to go through the same play tunnel!
We also had our leavers concert where parents can come and listen to their children sing some of the songs from preschool. To finish the year off we had our end of year party where the children were treated to soft play and a nice (outdoor) party lunch prepared by our committee mums. An emotional morning for staff and parents alike as said a fond farewell to our leavers. We look forward of course though to welcoming in to the Preschool family, some new starters in September. And welcoming back our current children from a sunny 6 week holiday.
Woodmancote Preschool has been providing childcare to local children for 50 years this year and we are planning on having an event to celebrate in the early Autumn so please watch this space.
