What would our New Normal be like when we reopened on 1st June 2020. How many children would return? How would we manage social distancing, cleaning and keeping everyone safe? A lot of work went into putting measures in place to minimise any risk of virus transmission, by the time 1st June arrived, we were ready.
We were very unsure how the children would react to being back. We are delighted to be able to report that it was amazing. The children adapted to the new measures we had in place straight away. There was the usual smiles and laughter. One major difference was not having parents in the building, would this affect the children’s settling in? It didn’t and the children say goodbye to their grown up outside, walk in with their belongings, wash their hands and start their day.
We’ re delighted to say that nearly all our children have returned. It could not have gone better and we have no regrets. We’re looking forward to the new academic year starting in September.
